Chief Mark A. Mossotti

Mark A. Mossotti was appointed Chief of Police for the City of Bridgeton on August 1, 2021. He is a 37 year police veteran of the Bridgeton Police Department and began serving the community as a Bridgeton Police Explorer Scout at the age of 15. Chief Mossotti has held various positions throughout his career, including Patrol Sergeant, Detective Commander, Support Division Commander and Assistant Chief of Police. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Missouri (St. Louis) and is a 2008 graduate of the 234th Session of the FBI National Academy. In 2011 he was elected to the Executive Board of the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA) Eastern Missouri Chapter and proudly served as Chapter President in 2014. Chief Mossotti was Vice Chairman of the 2016 FBINAA National Conference which was held in St. Louis, Missouri. He has served as a board member of the Missouri Police Juvenile Officers Association and was member of the St. Louis County Family Court Mutual Concerns Committee and the Child Advocacy Center Advisory Committee. Chief Mossotti was the 2016 recipient of the FBINAA Eastern Missouri Chapter Eagle Award and is a devout husband of 27 years and has two daughters. Chief Mossotti is an active member in several law enforcement organizations in the State of Missouri.
