“Our members adamantly oppose any efforts to remove funding and resources from law enforcement agencies as those endeavors hurt our communities. It’s our hope that those elected officials who initially supported movements to “defund the police,” now realize the enormous need to increase funding and resources for law enforcement so police departments can effectively recruit, retain and staff our agencies. This will allow us to focus on community policing, build trust with our citizens and deter criminal behavior which victimizes our residents.”
